Congratulations to Tanner Voss and Kori Kline. Their team placed first in the Theme Development contest on Wednesday at the Southern Illinois School Press Association Winter Conference. There were 17 schools in attendance.
Girls softball players and boys baseball players will be helping set up for the Polar Plunge at 4:30 at the Junior High.

Applications for the IMUA Scholarship are available in Mrs. Branon's Google Classroom. This $500 scholarship is open to seniors who live within the Carlyle city limits and receive their electric service/utilities from the City of Carlyle. The application deadline is March 10th.
A reminder to seniors who plan to go to KC in the fall---The KC Foundation Scholarship Application is due Monday, February 27th.
Calc I students who want to take the AP exam must turn in the first payment to Mrs. Branon by today.
The American Society of Military Comptrollers Scholarship is due by midnight tonight. Mrs. Branon is still accepting essays for the Josh Melton Scholarship until noon today. Please see Mrs. Branon's google classroom for more information.
Students: You can still vote for your favorite Abe Lincoln book through March 15 if you read four or more books on the list. The book that receives the most votes will earn the Illinois High School Readers' Choice Award. Voters will receive a free piece of candy and a free lunch. Stop by the library to vote!
Tickets for the gift card basket can be purchased at the concession stand during lunch.
Kaskaskia College will be here on March 23rd to register students for Summer and/or Fall classes. If you are planning to take classes at KC, please sign up for a time in the office (SH or PE if possible). Parents are welcome to attend the meeting.
We currently have college recruiters from the following schools scheduled: Missouri Southern State University, SIU- Carbondale, Blackburn College, and University of Missouri - St. Louis. Sign up in the office if you are interested in speaking with any of them. Juniors - now is a great time to start thinking about college choices and speaking with them.
