The Illinois Land of Lincoln Chapter of American Society of Military Comptrollers Scholarship is now available. The deadline is Friday, February 12, 2016. Check the attachement below for eligibility information. (Must be sponsored/nominated by a current member of the Land of Lincoln Chapter, must be a graduating high school senior in the final half of his/her school year, or a high school graduate within 6 months of the application deadline. The local scholarship competition is open to applicants pursuing any field of study; however, only students entering a field of study directly related to finance/resource management (e.g., business administration, economics, accounting, finance, etc.) may be submitted to the National ASMC Scholarship Award Program for consideration.)

The Illinois Lumber and Material Dealers Scholarship is now available. It is for students who are going to pursue industry related course work at colleges and universities. The due date is March 14th. For more information, click on the attachment below.
The Holocaust Museum and Learning Center will again be hosting its annual Art and Writing Contest. More information is available on the attachment below or at this site. Due April 13.
The Clinton County Farm Bureau Scholarship is now open to members and their children. You must plan to attend college in the fall and demonstrate interest in agriculture or a related field. It will be awarded based on: academic performance and honors, rank in class, ACT score, financial need, motivation, moral character and leadership. The deadline is March 15th. The 2016 IMUA Scholarship is now available. This scholarship is for students whose parents receive their electrical service/utilities through the City of Carlyle. You must complete the application and essay by March 11th. See the attachment below for an application or the bulletin board in senior hall.
The Josh Melton Scholarship is now available. This is a $1000 scholarship that is due to Mrs. Branon by February 26th. You must write a minimum of a 500 word essay about Patriotism. It must be written in MLA style. Names are not to be included on the essay. Please attach the information sheet to the essay when you turn it in to Mrs. Branon.
The NDTA Scholarship is now available. You must plan to enroll full time in college in the fall of 2016. You can be enrolling in any field of study, but preference will be given to students studying a field related to business, transportation or logistics. It is due March 1st. There is a farm Credit Agriculture Scholarship available to seniors planning to study an ag related degree. It is valued at $1500 and is due February 29th. To apply go to www.farmcreditil.com.
The Greater St. Louis Mother of Twins Club Scholarship is now open for multiple birth students. These 2 scholarships will be awarded based on academics, essay, and two letters of recommendation. The deadline is February 15th. For more information go to www.stlmotc.org.
There is a Scholars Helping Collars Scholarship available to students who volunteer to help animals in need. A 500-1000 word essay plus 2-3 photos of your volunteer efforts to help animals in need and how that involvement has changed you life or shaped your perceptions on the importance of animal welfare is required. The Kaskaskia College Foundation Scholarships are now available. Any student who plans to attend KC next fall should apply. Go to this site for more info. The deadline is 5 PM on April 1st.
Applications are available for the South Central IL Area Future Healthcare Hero Award. This is a $500 scholarship available for those pursuing entry into any health science program. Information and application are available in the attachment below. The application deadline is February 15th.
The IL Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship is now available. This is open to seniors who are planning to attend a college or trade school. You must have a C average or better. Applications are available online. Applications must be post marked by February 28th.
The Buick Achievers Scholarship is available. Students who are interested in pursuing a career in the automotive or related industry and plan to study Engineering, Technology, or select Design and Business related programs are eligible. Apply at www.buickachievers.com by 5 PM on February 27th.
The $2000 Beta Sigma Psi Lutheran Christian Leadership Award application is now ready. Applicants must be a male, confirmed member of a Lutheran congregation, and planning to enroll full time in the fall to any accredited 4-year College or University. The deadline is February 13th. The Illinois PTA Scholarship is available now through February 15, 2016, for current high school seniors at this site. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating from an Illinois public school, have a grade point average of 3.0 or above without weights, and planning to enroll in a college or university in education or education-related degree program, which may include librarians, Instructional Media Specialists, School Nurses, School Psychologists, or Social Workers. Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.
