The Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship is now available. Seniors must have a C average, plan to go to college or vocational school and complete application before March 1st. Applications can be found at www.ioof-il.org.
The St. Clair Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers is offering $1500 college scholarships for seniors going into engineering who plan to attend a school in Illinois or Missouri. The Beta Sigma Psi National Lutheran Fraternity Educational Foundation has released the scholarships for this year. These would be for students planning to attend Indiana University, Purdue, or the University of Illinois. The scholarships are due Feb. 14th. Applicants should be male, confirmed members of the Lutheran congregation, and planning to attend college in the Fall of 2015. The 2015 Future Healthcare Hero Award is now open. Applicants must be pursuing entry into any health science program for the 2015 Fall semester. Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Applicants must submit the following items in their application packet: Completed and signed application and release Brief personal statement (one page) describing why you should be selected to receive this award, Transcripts, and two letters of recommendations (on organizational letterhead). The 2015 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is now open. It is for high school seniors who have drive, integrity and leadership. Valued up to $40,000 per student. Apply online at www.reaganfoundation.org/scholarships. Due Jan 8, 2015

- Thomas H. Moore Scholarships: Due Dec 31, 2014. Scholarships are awarded based on grade point averages, college entrance test scores, work and volunteer experience, participation in school and community activities, a biological statement, and a short essay. - LaVern and Nola McEntire Lineworker's Scholarship: Due April 30, 2015. Scholarships are awarded based on an essay, a biographical statement, and references. Student must be planning to attend LincolnLand Community College Electrical Lineman Program. For more info, click on the attachment below.

The "Profile in Courage Essay Contest" is available. The due date is January 5th. The essay must be a 700 - 1000 word essay describing an act of political courage by a US elected official that occurred during or after 1956. You must have at least 5 sources.
