The junior high and high school band will be performing a spring concert on May 6 in the
Carlyle High School gym, and the annual CHS art show will occur on the same evening in the
cafeteria.
Doors open for the art show at 6 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m.
According to art teacher Emily Kaupang, the show will feature artwork from more than
60 students.
This year’s band concert will follow a movie music theme. The event, which is called “A
Walk In The Parks”, includes a Star Wars Medley, selections from the Lion King, and pieces
called Disneyland Celebration and Havendance.
According to band director Madison Sanker, this concert allows band students to
showcase their skills and hard work throughout the year.
This will be the final band concert for seniors Grace Hummel, Grace Edler, Iris Swagler,
Liz Morado, Lane Hummel, and Asher Barrett.
