
2nd graders have been learning about many different types of insects. This week, they were challenged to create their own insects by using clay and various art supplies. They had some great ideas!


First-Grade celebrated one of our final days with a Hawaiian Luau! 🌺





2nd grade was so excited to have the softball and baseball players read to them! Thank you!!!! 💜💛








I love when students want to come and read to the Principal to show off their reading skills!!! It's amazing to see them gain these new skills!!!

Carlyle Grade School would like to thank Keith Rensing and Travis Huels from Country Companies Financial for donating Tacos, chips,and salsa from Guzmans. A great way to start Teacher Appreciation Week!!! They also had a raffle for three $50 gift certificates to Guzmans!!!

Carlyle Grade School had a glow day today and the money collected went to our PTO!!! The students brought in $985 to give back to the PTO for everything they do to help our students and staff.

The incubator has been up and running for a full week in Mrs. Nave's room. Today while candling a couple eggs, students found signs of life growing inside. It's so "eggs"iting!


We have very important dates coming up at CGS 🤩
1. We will have Glow Day on Friday- all proceeds will be given to PTO as a thank you for their generosity
2. 1st-4th Grade Families- Your students will be celebrating the end of the school year with Field Day. With your donations, we can make this day fun with an inflatable for everyone!
3. 3rd and 4th Grade will be having their spring concert on May 16th
4. 4th Grade will be going on their field trip to Skate City. Please check to ensure your student is prepared





Mrs Price's class had a great time at Earth Day!




Ms. Ettleman's class had a great time at Carlyle Lake for Earth day! We were able to see owls of Illinois, Babaloo, Randy the Magician, nocturnal animals, and birds of prey. Each station also talked about ways we can help protect and keep Earth clean. It was an awesome day with beautiful weather. Big thank you to everyone who took time to make this day happen!
