The introduction to science students made anemometers in lab this week. They used these to calculate wind speed. It wasn't quite windy enough to make the anemometers spin so we had to improvise and use fans.

I received an email this morning that definitely needs to be shared with our community! 💜💛💜PRIDE IN THE TRIBE!💜💛💜
Hello there!
I just wanted to take a quick moment and make you aware of something that is absolutely wonderful.
This past Friday at the home football game, my husband brought a guest. This man is 48 years old and lives in an assisted group home in Centralia. He has for most of his life.
We always sit near the student cheering section and that night was no different.
He was so excited because he had never been to a football game before. The students were wonderful. They talked to him, gave him one of the Indians shirts, and even tossed the football around with him.
In these times, teenagers catch such a bad rap, and no doubt kids can be mean. But your students took that fellow and were kind, and loving, and you should be proud of them!
Have a great day and God Bless!
