The Carlyle Lady Indians basketball team will play Father McGivney in the Regional Championship game this Thursday, 2/16 at 7:00pm at Edwardsville Metro-East Lutheran high school. GOOD LUCK LADY INDIANS!!

Students in Life Skills class took a trip to Dollar General to practice their budgeting skills. They had to search for items to help celebrate Valentine's Day while staying under a certain dollar amount. They all found just the right items for a perfect celebration and stayed in budget!

Congratulations to Tyson Waughtel on winning his 2nd straight sectional championship. Tyson is the 113 pound sectional champion. Good luck to Tyson as he competes at the IHSA wrestling state finals in Champaign starting this Thursday.

We want to wish our 3 wrestlers who placed in the Regionals at Roxana last weekend, Tyson Waughtel placed 1st, Carter Missey placed 4th, Landon Schultz placed 4th. These 3 wrestlers have advanced to sectionals in Carterville on February 10th & 11th .

Students in Life Skills class held a fundraiser this morning selling donuts, soda, and water. They raised over $100 for class activities and supplies. Thank you to all students and staff that made this fundraiser a success!

Carlyle High School Athletic Schedule for Tuesday, 1/31 *Freshman girls basketball game vs New Athens is cancelled *F/JV/V boys basketball games at Chester postponed; the games are rescheduled for Wednesday, 2/1 at Chester starting at 5 pm.

Carlyle School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31st. Though the main roads are mostly clear, the side roads and rural roads are still mostly ice covered. With the low temperatures expected overnight and, in the morning, I don't see these conditions improving. Stay safe and hopefully we will see everyone on Wednesday.

IHSA Competitive Cheerleading Sectionals @ OTHS, 600 South Smiley in O'Fallon January 28th, 2023 • Spectators enter through the Main Gym (Panther Dome) -Main Lobby Entrance. • The competition will occur in the main gym • Doors will open at 8:00 am. Admission is $7.00 when purchased through GoFan. Tickets purchased at the door will be $8.00 (child in arms is free).
