Good afternoon! All CJHS students will need earbuds for building-wide FastBridge screenings being given next week. These screenings will help us better identify how well each student is academically responding to our current building curriculum offerings.
Happy Wednesday! All students received an envelope with instructions on how to set up their Parent Portal and a contact sheet to be reviewed and changes made. Please have your students return any updates you would like to have in their file. Thank you!!

In Ms. Nielsen's math RTI class one of the groups focused on their multiplication skills. They used hopscotch to reinforce their learning!!

Order forms and payments are due by 9/5/2023.
Cash, Checks (payable to Carlyle PTO), and Venmo (@Carlyle1PTO) are all accepted.
Please write all orders on your forms.
When paying by Venmo, please also note in Venmo which child you ordered from.
Pickup is 9/9/2023 from 1pm to 3pm in the parking lot between the High School and Junior High. Please arrive no later than 3pm for pickup.

Good afternoon!
It is Picture Day at CJHS tomorrow! Students should have brought home a picture packet on Tuesday. Picture packets and money will be collected tomorrow when students visit the photo booth.
Does water flow through rock or soil/sand more quickly? Ask your fifth grader to find out!
Fifth graders had a blast today creating Earth models for their introduction to Earth’s Systems unit!
All Carlyle Jr High school baseball and softball games scheduled for today (8/22) and tomorrow (8/23) have been cancelled due to the excessive heat. There will be no baseball or softball practices today or tomorrow.

Due to the expected heat this week, the following change has been made to the Carlyle Jr High baseball schedule.
Friday, 8/25 8th baseball at Selmaville (Salem Complex) 5:30 pm start
Other changes could be made as well; updates will be announced.

Carlyle Pride Fridays at CJHS start tomorrow! We encourage our staff and students to wear their Carlyle apparel/colors to school every Friday!
Open House at CJHS tonight from 5:30-6:30! We are excited to see all of you! Students will receive locker assignments and their class schedules. Bring your school supplies with you tonight!
The first day of student attendance is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 16th. The doors to the building will open at 7:30 AM every morning. Reminder that all hats/headwear worn to school must be taken off before entering the building in the AM, and should be kept off until the school day ends. The first period tardy bell at CJHS will ring at 7:55 every morning.
The CJHS 8th grade baseball and softball games scheduled for today have been canceled. Both teams are scheduled to play tomorrow at home against Salem.
The 8th grade baseball tripleheader with DuQuoin & Flora at Carlyle has been canceled for today.
